9 Months Old!
At 9 months, Mason weighs 20lbs 12 ozs (51st percentile) and is 29.2 inches tall (76th percentile). He is a healthy, mobile, talkative little guy! We were surprised to learn that he wasn't at a higher percentile; he seems like such a big boy to us now. He definitely doesn't feel like a lightweight, that is for sure. The fact that he is pulling himself up to stand whenever he can and is already using his walking toys to toddle around the house adds to his "big boy" image. As does the fact that he prefers table food, is beginning to feed himself, and can play independently for short periods of time. He also reliably gives high fives, puts his arms above his head to show that he is "so big" and is beginning to put his knee up on the first stair to climb them. His curiosity has peaked too; he loves going from room to room to explore (especially things he shouldn't), which has made childproofing the house a priority. Perhaps this is all just par for the course for a second born child, but he certainly does surprise us to no end!

An addition...
We removed the old deck on our home and have replaced it with a new deck and 3-season room. Work started on January 3rd and was completed this week. Loving it!

"Catlicks"
Jack tried his best to fix all the cowlicks in Ryan's hair by replacing them with catlicks.

Baby's got a new crawl...
Mason is now up on hands and knees when he crawls, and not just that, he is also pulling himself up to standing! It's all happening so fast...he certainly is a mover!

Our Poor Tolerant Cat
Mason is especially intrigued by the hair in Jack's ears. I think the video says it all
Of note, you can see in this video that Mason's crawl is starting to transform, he still drags his legs a bit but is really starting to get up on his knees more regularly now.
